Martin D-1
The Martin D-1 is a dreadnought acoustic guitar from the American maker Martin's range, introduced in the 1990s as an entry-level instrument in the company's line. It has a solid spruce top with laminated back and sides, a simple specification without the elaborate binding and inlays of the more expensive models, and it is built to the dreadnought proportions that Martin established and that most steel-string guitars now follow. It gives players the company's tone and construction at a modest price, and it is used for strumming, flatpicking and accompaniment.
