MXR Dyna Comp
The MXR Dyna Comp is a compact compressor pedal introduced in the 1970s, and one of the most widely used effects of its kind. It squeezes the peaks of the guitar signal and lifts the quieter parts, which evens out the dynamics of playing and adds the extra sustain and snap that compression gives, using only two controls, one for output level and one for sensitivity. Its simple circuit and characteristic squash have made it a standard on country, funk and pop pedalboards, and it has been produced in various versions and reissued repeatedly by MXR.
