Ovation Viper
The Ovation Viper is a solid-body electric guitar from the company's range of the 1970s. It uses one of the body shapes Ovation developed for its electric line, with the company's own pickups and a control layout that provided a number of preset tone settings alongside the usual controls, and it is built to a compact, playable form. As with the rest of that range, the Viper was made while Ovation was attempting to establish itself as a maker of electric guitars on the strength of its reputation for acoustic instruments, and it is collected now as part of that history.
