Precision Bass Lyte
The Precision Bass Lyte is a version of the Precision Bass produced by Fender Japan from the late 1980s. It has a slimmer body than the standard instrument with a deeper contour and a smaller upper horn, a narrower neck and lighter hardware, and it carries the familiar split-coil pickup together with active electronics offering a wider range of tone control, or a pared-back passive arrangement depending on the version. Instruments of this kind were sold mainly in the Japanese market, and they are appreciated for their light weight and comfortable feel.
