PRS Custom
The PRS Custom is the family of electric guitars at the centre of the Paul Reed Smith range, of which the Custom 24 is the best known member. Instruments in the line have carved maple tops on mahogany bodies, set necks and the maker's own vibrato or fixed bridges, with pairs of humbucking pickups controlled through a switch and a coil-splitting option. Different models in the family vary in the number of frets, the scale length, the pickup type and the level of decoration, and the range as a whole has been one of the main alternatives to the established American designs since the mid 1980s.
