Q11345299
The WX series is the line of wind synthesizers Yamaha has produced, instruments shaped like a woodwind or brass instrument rather than a keyboard. The player's breath, lip pressure and fingering are sensed electronically and sent as control signals to a tone generator, either built in or external, so a saxophone or clarinet player can control a synthesizer with familiar technique. Instruments in the series differ in the number and arrangement of their keys and in the sounds they contain, and they are used by wind players who want orchestral or synthetic sounds alongside their own instrument.
