Roland JV-2080
The Roland JV-2080 is a rack-mounted sound module, one of the larger instruments in the company's JV series from the middle of the 1990s. It holds a large set of sampled waveforms and patches and provides extensive editing facilities through its front panel and display, with several expansion slots for additional sound sets, multiple outputs and effects, and a wide polyphony for its period. Instruments of this kind were central to the studios of the time, providing a large library of sounds that could be addressed over MIDI from a keyboard or a sequencer.
