Roland MC-307
The Roland MC-307 is a groovebox, a self-contained instrument for producing and arranging electronic music. It combines a set of synthesised sounds, a sequencer for recording patterns and songs, and a pattern-based method of building music in which short repeated parts are assembled into a complete arrangement, with controls for shaping the sounds and effects for processing them. Instruments of this kind, produced at the end of the 1990s, followed earlier models in the MC series and were used for writing and performing dance music without a studio setup.
