Roland SH-01 Gaia
The Roland SH-01 Gaia is a virtual analogue synthesizer introduced at the beginning of the 2010s. It generates its sounds by digital processing that imitates the behaviour of analogue circuits, and it is built with a panel of sliders and knobs laid out so that the main sections of a synthesizer's signal path can be seen and adjusted directly rather than through menus. It has a thirty-seven note keyboard, polyphonic operation, an arpeggiator and effects, and it is aimed at players who want the immediacy of a traditional analogue instrument in a modern digital one.
