Roland V-Accordion

The V-Accordion is the family of electronic accordions Roland has produced since the middle of the 2000s. Instruments of this kind reproduce the sound of the accordion by electronic means, using sensors to read the movement of the bellows and the keys and buttons, and they can generate not only accordion voices but also orchestral and percussion sounds, with the ability to change the tuning and the character of the instrument in ways that a reed-driven accordion cannot. They are used by accordion players who want a wider range of sounds or a lighter instrument with a controllable volume.
