My Guitar Notes

Stagemaster

The Fender Stagemaster is an electric guitar Fender sold in the early 2000s, built to the modern superstrat formula rather than to its traditional outlines. It has a contoured solid body with pointed horns, a slim bolt-on neck and a flat fingerboard radius, a pair of humbucking pickups and a locking vibrato bridge on most versions, and it was offered at a low price to compete with imported instruments. It is one of the shapes through which Fender addressed the market for high-gain rock guitars during that decade, and it was later joined by versions in the Squier range.
