System-1 Aira
The Roland System-1 is a synthesizer introduced in the middle of the 2010s as part of the company's AIRA range. It generates its sounds digitally by modelling analogue circuits, and it has a panel of sliders and knobs laid out to follow a traditional signal path so that sounds can be shaped directly, with a keyboard, an arpeggiator and a set of effects. It can also load models of the company's historic instruments and act as a controller for computer software. It was made in a version without a keyboard for use with an external controller.
