Tokai Talbo Bass Guitar
The Tokai Talbo Bass Guitar is the bass version of the Talbo, the instrument the Japanese maker Tokai built with a cast aluminium alloy body. Aluminium gives the bass a hard, bright and immediate attack with a strong and clearly defined low end and a distinctive metallic edge, and the construction is unusual because the body is formed in a mould rather than cut and glued from wood. Instruments of the series have been produced in several shapes and in small numbers, and they are used by players looking for a bass with a sound that wood does not produce.
