Trigger
Trigger is the name Willie Nelson gave to the Martin N-20 classical guitar that he has played for decades. It is a nylon-string instrument of conventional construction, but it was fitted with a pickup, and after the top was damaged early in its life by a feedback problem the instrument was modified and repaired, leaving it with a large worn patch beside the soundhole where the player's thumb and fingers have passed over the wood. Its sound and its battered appearance have become inseparable from his music, and the guitar is one of the most identifiable in country music.
