Vox Ultrasonic
The Vox Ultrasonic is an electric guitar from the British company's range of the middle 1960s, one of the instruments in the series with the teardrop and rounded bodies that Vox produced during the beat boom. It is fitted with a set of pickups and, on this model, a set of built-in effects operated from the guitar itself, an arrangement Vox used on several of its instruments of the period, along with a vibrato bridge and an unusual control layout. Guitars of this kind were as much a statement of fashion as working instruments, and they are collected today for their construction and their place in British pop history.
