Yamaha CPX

The Yamaha CPX is the company's line of acoustic-electric guitars, built with the shallow and slightly reduced bodies the range uses to control feedback and to make the instruments comfortable to play standing. They are fitted with an under-saddle piezo pickup and an onboard preamplifier with volume, tone and often a tuner, so that the guitar can be plugged into a system for stage work, and they are used widely by performers in pop, country and singer-songwriter settings, where an amplified but recognisably acoustic tone is required at volume.
