Yamaha HS10W
The Yamaha HS10W is the subwoofer that accompanies the company's HS series of active studio monitors. It is a cabinet with a single large driver and its own amplification, designed to extend the low-frequency response of the smaller speakers in the series and to be placed on the floor beneath a desk, with controls for level and for the crossover point at which it takes over from the monitors above it. Units of this kind are used in studios where the full low end of a recording has to be heard, particularly for electronic and dance music.
