Yamaha HS Series
The Yamaha HS series is the company's line of active studio monitor speakers. Instruments in the series are small two-way cabinets with built-in amplification, designed to be placed on a desk or a stand close to the listener, and they are intended to give an accurate and uncoloured reproduction of a recording so that a mix will translate to other systems; controls allow the response to be adjusted for the position of the speaker in a room. They are widely used in project studios and by musicians working at home, and they follow the company's earlier monitor designs of the same kind.
