Yamaha SBG
The Yamaha SBG is a series of solid-body electric guitars the company produced from the late 1970s. The instruments have a double-cutaway body of the conventional kind, set necks and carved tops on the better models, and two humbucking pickups with separate volume and tone controls, and they were built to a high standard in Japan with selected woods, careful finishing and the company's own hardware, some versions including a sustain block beneath the bridge. They were aimed at professional players, and they are respected and collected for their construction and their warm, sustaining tone.
