Ibanez's modern double-cut platform, built for players who want super-Strat hardware inside a more traditional outline.

Why it matters
The AZ line took Ibanez into ground long held by boutique builders, pairing a modified Strat-style body with switching options beyond a standard five-way selector. The range now spans budget and premium tiers, so the same name covers very different build standards and origins. It is a common answer for players who want switching flexibility without a floating tremolo.
Note
Ibanez's modern take on the HSS super-Strat format with dyna-MIX switching; critical darling.

- Tiers differ in woods, hardware and country of origin, so compare the exact model
- Both tremolo and hardtail versions exist in the range
