Boss DSD-2
The Boss DSD-2 Digital Sampler/Delay was a compact unit from the mid 1980s that combined a short digital delay with a sampling function. Its sampling side could record a brief phrase and play it back from the pedal, either as a one-off or as a repeating loop, which made it one of the first affordable ways to get looping onto a guitar pedalboard. The delay side offered the clean repeats of Boss's digital range, with hold and playback levels controlled from the front panel. It is now a collector's item, prized for that early sampling capability.
