Boss DSD-3
The Boss DSD-3 Digital Sampler/Delay was a later version of the compact sampling pedal Boss had pioneered in the mid 1980s. It pairs a short digital delay with the ability to capture and replay a phrase, so a player can sample a chord or riff and trigger it from the pedal while playing over the top. The sampling time was brief even by the standards of the day, but the concept of a floor pedal with memory inside it was unusual then and is commonplace now. It appeals today to collectors and to players interested in early looping hardware.
