Boss OD-2

The Boss OD-2 Turbo OverDrive was designed to give a wider gain range than the original OD-1, with a mode switch that moves between a normal overdrive setting and a hotter Turbo setting. The Turbo mode adds gain and a slightly fatter voicing for lead work, while the standard mode stays closer to the mild grind of its predecessor. Like all Boss compact pedals of the period it runs on a 9-volt battery or an adaptor. It is a practical all-rounder for players who want one box covering both rhythm crunch and a more saturated solo tone.
