Boss PSM-5

The Boss PSM-5 Power Supply and Master Switch is a compact utility box from the 1980s that does not change tone at all. It takes a single 9-volt supply from an adaptor, feeds power out to a chain of other Boss pedals through its daisy-chain output, and provides a master on-off switch and status indicator for the whole board. That solved a real problem for players running a dozen battery-hungry pedals, since one adaptor and one switch replaced a pile of batteries and individual power sockets. It was discontinued as multi-output power supplies became cheaper.
