Boss TR-2
The Boss TR-2 Tremolo is a compact pedal that adds amplitude modulation to the guitar signal: the volume rises and falls at a rate the player sets, producing the pulsing sound heard in early electric blues and in surf and roots rock. Its three controls are Rate for the speed, Depth for how deep the wobble cuts into the sound, and Wave, which shapes the modulation between a smooth and a squarer, more abrupt form. Boss has kept it in production for years, and it covers everything from a slow, shallow shimmer to a choppy, rhythmic throb.
