Boss MT-2

The Boss MT-2 Metal Zone is a compact distortion pedal introduced in the early 1990s and one of the biggest sellers in the company's history. It offers three-band equalisation with a sweepable midrange, an unusually capable tone section for a pedal of its size, together with distortion and level controls. That midrange control lets players move between a scooped modern metal sound and a more nasal, cutting voice. It has a wide gain range, from mild crunch to heavily saturated chug, and although its reputation is tangled up with metal cliché, it remains in production.
