Eric Clapton Gold Leaf Stratocaster
The Eric Clapton Gold Leaf Stratocaster is a decorated Fender Stratocaster associated with Eric Clapton, finished with gold leaf rather than paint. The treatment is a gilding process in which thin sheets of gold are laid over the body and sealed, producing a bright metallic surface that reflects light strongly and has been used on presentation and charity instruments. The underlying guitar is a standard Stratocaster in Clapton's specification, with a contoured body, three single-coil or noiseless pickups and a tremolo bridge, given a finish intended for display and auction rather than touring.
