ESP EX series
The ESP EX series is the Explorer-style line in the ESP Guitars catalogue. The body is a sharply angular solid slab with long pointed horns and a notched rear, built for balance while standing but visually dominated by the extreme outline. EX models are commonly offered with two humbucking pickups, a tune-o-matic style bridge and a set or neck-through neck, and the larger body gives a substantial low end that works well with high gain. The shape has appeared in the imported LTD range and in ESP's higher lines, and versions with locking vibrato bridges and baritone scales have also been offered.
