Fender Crash Stratocaster
The Fender Crash Stratocaster is a Stratocaster decorated with painted artwork by the American artist John Matos, known as Crash, and connected with Eric Clapton's Crossroads charity auctions. Fender built the instruments and Matos applied sprayed and stencilled graffiti designs over the bodies, so each guitar carries a graphic image rather than a standard finish. Beneath the artwork the guitars are conventional Stratocasters with three pickups, a tremolo bridge and the familiar control layout, produced in limited numbers or as one-offs for the auction.
