Fender George Fullerton 50th Anniversary 1957 Stratocaster
The Fender George Fullerton 50th Anniversary 1957 Stratocaster is a Custom Shop instrument issued in 2007 to mark fifty years since the Stratocaster went into production in 1954, naming one of the instrument's original designers. It is a detailed tribute to the 1957 specification of the guitar, reproducing the body and neck shapes, the pickups and wiring, the hardware and the finishes of that year, in which the model took the form now regarded as classic. Instruments of this kind are built in small numbers with period-correct parts and hand finishing, and they are sold as collectors' pieces.
