Fender Mark Hoppus Jazz Bass
The Fender Mark Hoppus Jazz Bass is the signature model built for the bassist of the American band blink-182. It takes the Jazz Bass body and neck and gives it an unusual pickup arrangement based on Hoppus's own instrument: a single reverse-wound split-coil pickup in the middle position, one volume control and no tone control, with a maple fretboard and a simple, road-ready specification. The stripped-back layout gives the player one strong, consistent sound rather than a wide range, which suits the direct, distorted bass tone of the pop punk records he is known for.
