Fender Musicmaster

The Fender Musicmaster is a solid-body student electric guitar introduced in 1956, the simplest model in Fender's range. It has a compact slab body, a single pickup with a volume and tone control and a short scale length, all of which made it cheap to manufacture and easy for a beginner to handle. It was produced for many years in several versions, and alongside its stablemates the Duo-Sonic and Mustang it established the idea of the short-scale offset Fender guitar. Short-scale instruments of this kind are used now for their distinctive bright tone and comfortable feel.
