Gibson ES-333
The Gibson ES-333 is a semi-hollow electric guitar introduced in the 2000s as a simpler, less expensive version of Gibson's classic thinline design. It has the familiar double-cutaway body with hollow chambers and a solid centre block, two humbucking pickups, and a plainer specification than the more expensive instruments in the family: dot position markers instead of block inlays, a satin finish and no pickguard, together with a control cavity cover on the back of the body that allows the wiring to be reached without removing the pickups. It is used for blues, rock and jazz, and it is also associated with a well known pop punk player who favours the shape.
