Gibson ES-339

The Gibson ES-339 is a semi-hollow electric guitar introduced in the late 2000s as a smaller-bodied version of the ES-335. It uses the same construction, hollow chambers divided by a solid centre block, with two humbucking pickups and the usual separate controls, but the body is reduced in size, which makes the instrument lighter and, for many players, more comfortable to hold, while the tone remains close to its larger relative. It is offered in several versions, including one carrying P-90 style pickups, and it is popular with players who find the standard semi-hollow body too large.
