Gibson L-7
The Gibson L-7 is an acoustic archtop guitar from the 1930s onwards, positioned below the company's most expensive archtops as a more affordable carved-top instrument. It has the same general construction, a spruce top with maple back and sides and f-holes, but carries plainer decoration and fewer appointments, and it was widely used by dance-band and jazz guitarists who needed a strong acoustic projection at a reasonable price. The model was later offered in electric and cutaway forms, and it remains respected as a working archtop of the period.
