Gibson L6-S
The Gibson L6-S is a solid-body electric guitar introduced in 1973, designed with the help of the pickup engineer Bill Lawrence. It has a contoured solid body with a long, sharply cut outline, a twenty-four fret neck joined at the body for full access to the upper register, and a pair of pickups controlled by a rotary switch offering several combinations of the coils, together with separate volume and tone controls. It was made in several versions with different pickup arrangements and finishes, and it is collected as an example of Gibson's attempts at a modern solid body in that decade.
