Gibson Les Paul Studio
The Gibson Les Paul Studio is a version of the single-cutaway solid-body guitar introduced in the 1980s, designed to give the sound and construction of the Standard at a lower price by simplifying the decoration. It omits the binding on the body and neck and some of the other appointments, and it has usually been built with two humbucking pickups and the conventional control layout, with weight-relieved or chambered bodies on many examples. Because it keeps the pickups, woods and hardware of the more expensive models, it is widely used as a working guitar and as a first Les Paul.
