Gibson Nighthawk

The Gibson Nighthawk is a solid-body electric guitar introduced in the early 1990s. It has a compact, contoured body, a long scale for a Gibson and a twenty-four fret neck joined high on the body for access to the upper register, together with an unusual pickup arrangement of a humbucker with a split switch and two single coils, controlled by a rotary selector that produced a wide range of combined tones. It was intended to compete with the modern guitars of the period, and although it was produced only for a few years it has a following among players who value its flexibility.
