Gibson Spirit

The Gibson Spirit is an electric guitar produced in the early 1980s. It has a compact solid body with a double-cutaway outline, a bolt-on or set neck depending on the version and one or two humbucking pickups, and it was offered in several finishes and hardware specifications during its short life. The model was part of the company's attempt to offer modern, moderately priced instruments at a time when it was losing ground to other manufacturers, and it was discontinued in the middle of the decade.
