Gretsch 6128

The Gretsch 6128 is the Duo Jet, a chambered solid-body electric guitar introduced in the mid 1950s and one of the company's most recognisable designs. It has a small body with a distinctive arched top, a set neck and a pair of pickups, together with a Bigsby vibrato on many examples and the control layout Gretsch used across its range, including a master volume and a tone switch on the upper bout. Its sound combines the punch of a solid body with a certain hollow quality from the chambering, and it is much used in rockabilly, rock and pop, and has been reissued repeatedly.
