Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird
The Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird is an electric guitar originally designed in the late 1950s in association with the American guitarist Bo Diddley, and later produced as a signature model for Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. The instrument has a small, angular body with a distinctively shaped outline, one or two pickups with the master volume and tone switch of the Gretsch range, and a vibrato tailpiece. The original design was not put into production at the time; Gretsch later revisited it and issued the guitar in Gibbons's name, and it remains one of the odder and more distinctive shapes in the company's catalogue.
