Gretsch White Falcon

The Gretsch White Falcon is a large hollow-body electric guitar introduced in the middle of the 1950s as the company's most spectacular design. It has a white-finished, deeply bound body with a distinctive scroll-shaped upper cutaway, gold-plated hardware, two filter-style pickups, a vibrato tailpiece, elaborate inlays on the fretboard and the brand name lettered across the lower bout, and its control layout includes a master volume and a tone switch on the upper horn. Its bright, hollow, slightly ringing sound with a shimmer at the top suits rockabilly, country and rock, and Gretsch has kept it in production in many forms.
