Ibanez Artcore series
The Ibanez Artcore series is the company's family of archtop and semi-hollow electric guitars. Instruments in the range take the traditional jazz and blues outlines, full-depth hollow bodies with single cutaways and semi-hollow thinline designs with solid centre blocks, and are fitted with the company's own pickups and hardware, with set necks and separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. Artcore guitars are mass produced in the Far East at prices far below the hand-built references they follow, which has made the hollow-body sound available to a very large number of players.
