Jim Root Telecaster
The Fender Jim Root Telecaster is the signature model built for Jim Root, the guitarist of the American bands Slipknot and Stone Sour. It is a Telecaster reduced to essentials for heavy music: a plain black or white body with no pickguard, a pair of active humbucking pickups with a single volume control mounted out of the way of the hand, a hardtail bridge and a satin-finished neck, together with a set of locking tuners. The instrument is built for low-tuned, aggressive playing, and it also exists as a version with two humbuckers in the company's cheaper ranges.
