Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Stratocaster
The Fender Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Stratocaster is the signature model built for the American blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, the older brother of Stevie Ray Vaughan and a member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. It follows the specification of the Stratocasters he plays, with a soft V-shaped neck, a set of single-coil pickups of the hotter Tex-Mex type designed to give a fuller, slightly overwound sound, a synchronised vibrato bridge and simple finishes. It is aimed at blues and roots players who want the sound of a mid-century Stratocaster with a little more output.
