Marshall Blues Breaker

The Marshall Blues Breaker is a compact overdrive pedal the company introduced at the end of the 1980s. Its circuit produces a mild, transparent drive intended to imitate the sound of a valve amplifier pushed into break-up, with Level, Tone and Gain controls, and it became sought after for the way it preserves the character of the guitar and amplifier rather than imposing an obvious distortion of its own. Original units are much sought after by players and collectors, and copies and reissues of the design have been made by Marshall and by other manufacturers.
