Martin J-40
The Martin J-40 is a jumbo acoustic guitar from the American maker's range, introduced in the 1980s. It uses the company's jumbo body shape, which is wider and shallower than the dreadnought, with a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides, and elaborate decoration including bound body and neck and abalone inlays around the soundhole and on the fretboard. Its proportions give a sound with a slightly different balance from a dreadnought, with a pronounced low end and a wide spread, and it is used for strumming, fingerstyle playing and accompaniment.
