Ovation Breadwinner
The Ovation Breadwinner is a solid-body electric guitar the Ovation Guitar Company made in the 1970s. It is recognised by its unusual angular body, cut with a long sweeping lower section and a small, oddly placed upper horn, and by the electronics the company devised for it, with a pair of pickups and a control layout that offered a wide range of tone shaping. Ovation was best known for its round-backed acoustic guitars, and the Breadwinner was part of an attempt to establish its name in the electric market, where its unconventional shape and construction set it apart from the instruments of the period.
