Roland AX-7
The Roland AX-7 is a keytar, a keyboard instrument designed to be worn on a strap and played standing, with the keys arranged across the body. It has forty-five velocity-sensitive keys, a set of controls for pitch bend and modulation on the neck, and it functions both as a synthesizer with built-in sounds and as a controller sending data to other instruments over MIDI, and it runs on batteries. Instruments of this kind let a keyboard player move about a stage, and the AX series has been Roland's principal line of keytars since the 1980s.
