Yamaha EX series
The Yamaha EX series is a family of synthesizers the company produced at the end of the 1990s. The instruments generate their sounds by several methods, combining sample playback with synthesis that builds tones from basic waveforms, and they allow the different approaches to be used together in a single sound, with a large control surface of knobs and a display for editing. Keyboards of different sizes and a rack version were offered, and the series was used for the electronic and popular music of the period, extending the company's work in digital synthesis.
